The National day of Remembrance and Action on the violence against is being celebrated every year by the Canadian to 14 people who were killed by massacre that happened on 6th of December 1989 at Ecole Politechnique when some fourteen women was singled out for their gender and murder by Marc Lepine a troubled young man who attributed his failure in life on women, why shouldn't he have blamed it on his father who made made him to be physically abused.
This man is such an example of a person that can kill thousands if he ever failed in an endeavour, these are the kind of people you ought to unfriend. In the same vain, he realised the magnitude of the offence he had committed and decided to put an end to his miserable life by commiting suicide after murdering murdering 14 women, wounding 4 men that wanted to stop him and 10 women, including the provost that claimed they didn't discriminate against anyone they only came to the institution to study Engineering and
I wonder what could have happened to the siblings and parents of this young murderer that has made the Parliament of Canada in 1991 to inaugurate 6th of December annually to commemorate to that died then.
Marc Lepine was given birth on October 26, 1964 in Montreal Canada and died 25years later on the day of this tragic event by a self inflicted gunshot in Montreal Quebe by a Ruger Mini - 14 and a Hunting Knife
The National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence against women is also called the White Ribbon Day or the Purple Ribbon Day. A Day set aside to observe some minute silence about of the massacre that happened 24 years ago and to also pray for such not to happen again.
Women are our Mothers, Sisters, Lovers, Buddies and Wives, in which they have to be respected in all ramification.
This is not new in African but what Nigerians would have done to the family members of this man remains in the hand of God. What do you feel about this day, good Morning?
